Involve Local Schools in raising charity funds An enjoyable way of raising funds for my local NHS Maternity units is by involving Lincolnshires schools in a non-uniform project. By means of contacting and speaking to the headmasters about my aims they are very excited about raising money locally for such a good cause. Schools really enjoy helping to raise funds for charities and I feel that more should be done for local charities. Also children get the opportunity of not having to wear there school uniform (which as we all know is cool), and by making them aware of where there £1.00 is going and why there contribution is so valued. If I can get 100 schools on board with my project that I will be running through June, I aim to raise roughly £30,000 of much needed money to our local lincolnshire maternity hospitals. A pound is a small contribution but over such a large area will make a massive difference. I will keep you posted how my mission is going and hope this inspires you to do the same for an organisation you feel will benefit greatly from your work. See you soon!!! Alison
